Chickpeas + Pumpkin Spice

Coming to you in FULLLLL FORCE!!!

Turns out that this holiday season is coming on quicker than I had ever expected. I may be freakin’ my FREAK a bit, but have no fear, lucky for you I have your gastro-nom-noms perfectly planned out!

Remember when I shared with y’all (that’s Kansas talk for “You All”) my most essential Pumpkin Spice recipe? WELL, we are going to be sharing some easy and entertainment-worthy recipes for all of your festivities – Or perhaps you just want a snack on something pleasantly spicy.

Serve up this quick batch of beans with a sweet flair:

Chickpeas + Pumpkin Spice


  • 16 oz. chickpeas, rinsed and soaked 8 – 24 hours and prepared to al denté – slightly firm, not too soft
  • tablespoon extra virgin olive oil
  • teaspoons maple syrup
  • 1/2 teaspoon pumpkin pie spice – OR more depending on desire!
  • 1/4 teaspoon pink Himalayan sea salt


  1. Heat oven to 400° and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Place chickpeas on baking sheet, drizzle with the oil and syrup, then season with pumpkin pie spice and salt. Toss thoroughly to coat.
  3. Roast 30 to 35 minutes, tossing after 15 minutes, until crispy and golden brown.
  4. Cool completely before serving.
  5. Eat alone or use as a staple for toppings on breakfast bowls, salads and even creamy soups!!!
